Square Roots Collective developing new demonstration park project in Kennett Borough
In 2020, a consortium of the trail’s stakeholders and owners began a conversation with Square Roots Collective that reimagined the trail as something greater, both in aesthetics, environmental cohesiveness and functionality.
How we build Matters
In collaboration with Square Roots Collective and others, Historic Kennett Square will be hosting a speaker series featuring national and local experts to discuss equitable and sustainable community building. The inaugural event will take place on September 28th at the American Legion Building in Kennett Square.
Kennett board gives OK to begin final design of Chandler Mill Road trail
“At its June 16 online meeting, the board approved a task order for the completion of the final design and engineering for the project, which is estimated at $628,397 and will take between six and seven months to complete. The design of the project will be developed by Biohabitats, a Baltimore-based ecological firm dedicated to restoring ecosystems and conserving habitat through assessment, planning, engineering and design….”
